Healthy belly

Bloating is a common cause of belly disorder and its cause is very complex (Irritable bowel syndrome, lactose intolerance,fructose intolerance …) The best diagnosis is to keep a food diary by excluding all foods that are known to cause bloating and gases such as dairy products ,gluten, artificial sweeteners and fructose .Adding them gradually to your diet will help you identify which ones are causing abdominal discomfort.

That particular breakfast that was on the menu of the day tempted me by its name , I imagined a pure taste of quality chocolate. I was disappointed by the berries that were all over the place masking the chocolate flavor. Too much flavors in a plate to the point where your taste buds are lost.There was : Banana ice cream, a donut, berries sprinkled everywhere ,chocolate sauce,mint leaves,biscuit and an unknown flavor that i was not able to determine.

I would prefer it much simpler with a donut and chocolate sauce with just the banana ice cream on top.

What is BMI?

BMI stand for Body mass index which is a scientific measurement to determine if you are normal , overweight or obese.

BMI= Weight in Kilograms/(Height in meter)2

<18.5 Underweight

18.5<Normal <25

25<Overweight<30

>30 Obese

BMI is not a good indicator for body composition goven the fact that two individuals can have the same BMI and be considered overweight even if one of them is an athlete with an increased muscular mass and the other has extra fat mass. The best indicator of body analysis is the Bio impedance scale which gives you a detailed analysis of fat, muscles, body water,waist to hip ration and  resting energy expenditure.

Homemade hummus

Ingredients:

Hummus grains

tahini paste

lemon juice

cumin

water

salt

2 tbsps olive oil

Soak 2 cups of hummus grains overnight and boil for 1h with double quantity of water.

Blend 1/4 cup tahini paste with 1/4 cup lemon juice and olive oil.

Mix the cooked hummus grains with their skin off and the tahini mix. Add water, salt and cumin.

You can chose the texture that you like by adding additional water if you like it more liquid.
