Is bread good for us?

Count your calories! Have a high protein diet! Low fat diets will make you lose weight! Keto diets are the best! The diet industry had us confused all along !

We are being tricked to perceive calories as the enemy and that high calorie foods makes us fat thus forgetting the role of crucial nutrients and vitamins found in butter, olive oils, nuts and seeds, healthy fats that are mostly limited in low calorie/low fat diets.

Fat: guilty or innocent?

Many debates revolve around fat; is it here to kill you or to save you from a heart attack?

There are different types of fat, the bad fats: saturated fat (from animal source mainly) and trans fats (created in labs to better preserve industrial pastries) and the good fats; monounsaturated fats (olive oil, canola oil..) and polyunsaturated fats (omega 6 and omega 3 found in fish oil and some seeds).
